Originally born Taelis Broadleaf, Son of Taelin Broadleaf in the elven forests of Elidor. His father a woodsman, and his mother an elf, he grew up learning the ways of the wild, and was expected to become a well-rouded elf of the forest. However, his affinity for adventure left him unfullfilled in his sheltered world, and at a young age, he snuck onto a merchant vessel, bound for the island nation of Wayrith. Wayrith was a land known for opportunity -- and excitement. With only a few coins, a strong elven education, and a desperate hunger for survival, Taelis found himself making a living from singing songs in local taverns and leading hunting expiditions. His talents caught the eye of the royal rangers of Wayrith, and he landed himself a squireship within the rangers during the reign of King Dekion the Peasant. He quickly moved up the ranks and had a promising career. However, fate would not allow Taelis to continue in this direction for long. Upon the reign of Monty the Thief King, Taelis caught the eye of a young maiden that King Monty was also after. He quicky became an enemy of the state and fled on a ship with a few companions, shortly before the fourth and final overrun of the kingdom by orcs.

Now a nomad, and potentially being pursued by a small army under the former King Monty (who was believed to have escaped the ork invasions), Taelis formed a band of mercernaries who protected the Guild of Merchants. Through many adventures, Taelis and his companions made a small fortune. During one battle with priates, Taelis had his life saved by an old friend who had escaped Wayrith with him. A large burly man who went by the name "Morganthau". Unfortunately, Morganthau was lost at sea shortly thereafter, and Taelis took on his comrade's name as his own, partially in memory, and partially to elude Monty's pursuers. However, the lure of the forest was strong, and his father had always reminded him that once the forests of Elidor are in one's blood they cannot be bled out. With a small group of rangers, whom were his closest and best trained mercernaries, Taelis Morganthau returned to the forests of Elidor. Originally to protect as soldiers-for-hire, the group quickly gained an appreciation for the interests of the nation of Elidor. Taelis left the group to begin an expedition of his own to find his family. Unfortunately, his tracking skills have not solved this mystery, as Morganthau still searches for his missing parents.
