Nobody knows where Cyrus comes from or why he decided to "grace" us with his presence and many probably wish he would go back from whence he came, but as far as this bard is concerned we will have no luck in regards to that. So… I have been "persuaded" by Prince Cyrus* to write his history. Not many among the ranks of Darkon can stand this loud mouth braggart, but none will dispute his usefulness on the battlefield. Cyrus had begun his career with the mighty nation of Minathalon. He served in the capacity of scout, bodyguard, and assassin. There were many successful campaigns with them, but became slightly disinterested with all the wholesomeness of Minathalon so in search of power, beer, and women. He helped start the country House Morgoth with some other people. It was House Morgoth's goal to spread chaos through out the realm. It failed so Cyrus went back to Minathalon feeling that the chaos he could cause from there would be much more enjoyable. About this time Angar from Valdimar approached him with an offer he couldn't refuse, work for him as his personal assassin or die. After considering for some 3.2 seconds he accepted. You must understand that Angar was a very BIG and violent man. Terms of service will not be disclosed in this history, but Cyrus would like it to be known that he will, for a fee, do freelance work. Eventually King Aethelgar of Minathalon decided that he had grown tired of the realm of Darkon and had his mages prepare transport to another world. Cyrus and Lactorne were then left in charge of the country. It did not last long as almost all of Minathalon followed Aethelgar on his journey.
Cyrus and Lactorne wandered the land hiring out as mercenaries. In this period Cyrus had developed a reputation for being the premiere ass of Darkon, as well as being one of the best assassins. After a time Lactorne thought that they should join there many friends in Mordom. When they found out there was a yearlong wait period and that they wouldn't get special treatment they said and I quote " Bugger that! ". Lactorne had decided to stay a merc while Cyrus decided that the real profits were still with the various nations of Darkon. Eventually Cyrus was approached by both Elidor and Rome about joining there respective countries. Since Minathalon and Elidor had been allies he decided to join them. The rest is knowledge almost as common as Cyrus. That reminds me, Hey Alfred, How did this baffoon get to be Prince anyway?
