Alfred grew up in a violent land where evil tyrants fought endlessly for more power and dictated their own right and wrong. After growing old enough to fight in pointless conflicts to sate evil men's lust for power, only Alfred and a small group of fighters were left. After years of searching for a place to live their own way, the now small group consisting of Alfred, Baldeon, Dragor, and Tevis met a traveler named Treeland. The man was from the Realm of Darkon and his Country was Valdimar. After hearing the group's desire to find a place of peace and free thinking, Treeland recommended talking to Cailen King of Elidor and Count of the Realm of Darkon. After talking to King Cailen the group of four joined Elidor.
The time the group joined the country Elidor was in decline and on the verge of collapse. The army was virtually non-existent, due to civil strife which ended in the Elidorian Minister of War Sir Andrick VanDahl and the majority of the army leaving to start a new country. After spending considerable time training in the way of Darkon combat with King Cailen and members of Mordom, Alfred, Dragor, and Tevis were eager to Elidor on the battlefield and in the senate. After touring the other countries of the Realm, Alfred came the conclusion that the majority of them were evil and most were hungry for power. Not wanting to see the peaceful Kingdom he just joined be consumed by evil, Alfred started recruiting an army.
The next few years saw the Elidorian Army grow and grow largely to Alfred's recruiting efforts. King Cailen made him General of the Army shortly after Alfred recruited the entire Country of Drakemoor. With the addition of the skilled troops of Drakemoor, Elidor became a military power in the Realm. Happy with the knowledge that his new home would not overrun by evil, Alfred watched his army grow and thrive. Unfortunately, there was civil strife again in Elidor. The army was very unhappy with King Cailen and wanted to leave the Country but did not want to leave their General. They asked him to come with them and form a new Country. Torn between his Army and his King, Alfred was devastated. He could only see one thing to do, tell King Cailen what was going to happen.
What happened next surprised everyone, especially Alfred. King Cailen retired as King of Elidor and picked Alfred as his successor. It was an option that never occurred to anyone but Cailen and stunned the Realm. Everyone was happy, except maybe Alfred but he adapted. Soon after being crowned Alfred welcomed back some Elidorians who left during the first civil strife including Sir Andrick Van Dahl who was once again made Minister of War. Duke Cailen continued to be a strong influence within the country sharing his views and showing the Cavalier's code on and off the battlefield, and has always helped to promote Elidor.
Years later Alfred fought for noble title of the Realm of Darkon and was knighted by King Tarum, Sovereign of the Realm.
